Glyceryl Stearate

Glyceryl Stearate is a fatty acid ester derived from

Stearic Acid and Glycerin. It is an emollient emulsifier,

which produces a silky smooth product.  Used alone

in Emulsified Scrubs makes for a less waxy feel.

It must be used in conjunction with  another emulsifier

for oil in water emulsions.

Jojoba Ester 70 is used to thicken lotions without the waxy feel that Stearic Acid can produce.  Also, may be used as a substitute for a portion of Beeswax, Candelilla Wax, etc. in Lip Balms.
